When disaster strikes, The Salvation Army jumps into action providing local, national, and international relief, as was evident with 9/11 and Katrina. Canteens, relief workers and grief counselors are mobilized to bring food, clothing, blankets, medical supplies, and comfort to victims. The Salvation Army also provides extended services in major disasters involving massive cleanup or reconstruction. Being prepared is key.
