A look back at Converge 2017

Converge: the area’s largest youth conference is coming back for a 6th year. Tickets are available now for Converge 2018, a discipleship focused weekend event for students 8th-12th grades.

Last year’s event is still making an impact on not just the attendees, but the region! Representatives from dozens of churches joined together as attendees, volunteers, choir members, and more. Here’s a look back at all of the great things that happened at last year’s Converge.

Converge 2017 Conference

2017’s conference drew hundreds of teens from all across West Central Ohio and other states. During the two-day event, they were challenged to answer God’s calls on their lives. National speakers, including Ben Stuart and Chip Dean, challenged the students to live Biblically and intentionally for Christ. Worship to the One True King rang from the stage through Sixteen Cities and Digital Age. Plus breakout sessions, prayer time, and an opportunity to head out into the streets of Lima to impact others.

Prayer in the Square

60,000 pounds of food and possibly just as many prayers were distributed throughout Lima during Operation: Love Lima, an opportunity for the conference attendees to put their faith into action. And then, all converged on downtown Lima, entering from the north, south, east, and west, with unified voices of praise. Their desire was to make a spiritual impact on our region.

Praise in the Square

Prayer, praise, singing and dancing- downtown Lima experienced all of it! Members of the community were welcome to join conference attendees for the 2nd annual Prayer in the Square portion of Converge.  They loudly praised our Lord and Savior Jesus, proclaiming him as the one true risen King. The energy level was simply off the charts!

Converge 2018 is scheduled for April 6 & 7 at the Elida Fieldhouse. Early bird registration is currently open for just $55.  Group discounts are also available. The worship this year will be led by North Point Insideout. Speakers include Ronda Calhoun and Chad Williams along with returning presenter Chip Dean.
